I just recently finished a wonderful 12-week business course. During the class, we learned, we laughed and we cried together (tears of happiness and thankfulness). My classmates became my biggest supporters and I became theirs. We shared our dreams, goals, hopes and fears with each other.

At our graduation, one classmate came to me with an idea, “When I’m talking to someone about my business and they ask for a business card, I still get all nervous. I would love to have a business card holder that will give me more confidence and inspiration.” Wow! What a great idea! I can so relate to that feeling too! (Truthfully, we all can, can’t we?)

This was one thing I enjoyed most about being in the class – in addition to everything that we learned, we also spent time talking to each other about some of the things most people don’t always think about. How hard it is to stand in front of a networking meeting and remember everything you wanted to say about yourself or what you do. Or meeting someone for the first time and answering that question, “So… what do you do?” For those who aren’t in business for themselves, they may not realize the people who can answer that question with ease have often rehearsed it in the mirror, in the car, with friends, finding just the right answer for that sometimes difficult question. “What do I do… and why is it important?”

My classmate had gone to the trouble of searching for scriptures that reflected her vision for her business and found several that give hope and inspire confidence. I’m so proud to have been a part of this class and to have the opportunity to create this series of business card holders (plus note cards and other inspirational designs that all came about from this one idea).

These are the first in a series of designs I’m calling Prosperity. This is dedicated to all my fellow classmates from New Quest, and everyone out there who has ever dreamed of owning their own business and needs inspiration and confidence.
